Tamanna Tabesh
Tamanna Tabesh (تمنا تابش) is an Afghan singer, songwriter and TV personality. She sings mostly in Persian/Dari/pashto but also in Hindi. She is one of Afghanistan's famous musical artist. performing regularly in concerts and within and outside Afghanistan.
Early life
Tamanna Tabesh was born in 1988 in Kabul, Afghanistan to a Dari-speaking (presumably Tajik) father and a Dari-speaking (presumably Tajik) mother. Her parents left Afghanistan when she was 5 years old and lived in Iran and Pakistan before settling in The Netherlands. By the age of 17 she had obtained admission to a music school where she would perform in places that definitely made her realize what she wanted to become when she grew older." At the age of 23 she traveled to India to learn Indian classical music.
Music career
Tamanna's first single was released in 2016 called Asheqana (from the album SAFARE ESHQ). She became famous with this song. Other famous songs Yaram Yaram and Gul e Dastan appeared under this same album.
Because of the fame of these songs, she was invited to participate as presenter in the Afghan television program Zere Chatre Eid on the Afghan television channel TOLO TV on 6 July 2016.
After this she performed concerts with various artists. Since then, Tamanna Tabesh has toured worldwide in countries such as Canada, United States and in Stockholm, Sweden.
On March 22, 2018, she took part in a BBC Pashto Eid show in London, England.
On June 21, 2018, Tamanna Tabesh participated in the television program Qhabe Goftogo on the Afghan television channel TOLO TV.
On June 9, 2019, she won an award for the “Best romantic song” on the Diamond Awards in Vienna, Austria.
In 2019 she has taken a break from her music career. She is currently working on new music to be released later in 2021.
